2.4 gh smart devices

How do I connect my smart home devices to an EE smart hub. I keep getting messages that I'm trying to connect 2.4 gh devices to a 5gh wifi. Is it even possible or is the smart hub effectively useless.

@JackJones4  the router outputs 2.4 GHz and 5GHz your device that you’re trying to set these up with is what’s connected to 5GHz.    One option to get around this is to move further away from the router. Ie a different room. Turn off WiFi on you device go to this other room and switch WiFi back on the device and try again and hopefully your device then connects to the router via 2.4Ghz

you could try disabling 5Ghz on the router via login to it from a web browser and using this IP address.  192.168.1.254 and the admin password on the back of the router.

To contact EE Customer Services dial 150 From your EE mobile or 0800 956 6000 from any other phone.

@JackJones4 : Try on the Advanced > Wireless Settings page to temporarily disable the 5 GHz WiFi band & move off the Smart channel while connecting problematic 2.4 GHz devices.
