Folks

i am with BT and have a Bt smart hub 2.  BT are now sending me another router an EE one for some strange reason. It is a  EE Smart Hub Plus (WiFi 6).

I currently have a BT dual band WiFi extender 1200. I am wondering if this will work with the new EE router ??

any suggestions?.

@Jason75 : The BT 11ac Dual-Band Wi-Fi Extender 1200 should work with any ISP's router. See BT 11ac Dual-Band Wi-Fi Extender 1200 :

  • Works with all broadband providers

However it is only WiFi5 whereas the EE Smart Hub 6 Plus is WiFi6.

@Jason75 As a BT Customer, why are they not sending you the BT Smart Hub 3? Very strange. Your MY BT app if using may possibly have an issue working with an EE Hub, you can only try and see.
