Did you mean:

1.6 Gbps for existing customers.

Hi everyone,

I wanted to ask whether anyone had any difficulties upgrading their broadband to 1.6Gbps after moving to EE?
The address search confirms that my house is eligible for an upgrade to this speed.

Here's where the problem is:

I have tried upgrading the broadband online, and whenever I do, it just says "Technical error", which I have reported already, but haven't heard back for several days.

I've wanted to try my luck over the phone, but the sales team have said that it's not available for existing customers, which I find silly.

Could anyone tell me whether they had any similiar experiences?

Thank you

I say it's not the luck of the draw. It's because they know some people who can do it for them but don't care about their existing customers. I don't care about EE anymore.

Seems to me the only way I’m going to be able to get 1.6gbps is by ending my contract; moving my internet over to mobile broadband temporarily; and then applying as a new customer.

Really frustrating!

Yes, I understand that and did that myself. I'm leaving EE may not come
back as not been happy with them.

This is because it's currently in a tryout period Incase of dropouts in the internet as a new customer they would tell if it was to slow or not depending on what they are used to all I know is it should be available round next month or June for existing customers, hope this helps
