Enjoy the experience of a superfast delivery

You've just received your new phone and you're desperate to start using it, but moving all your information from your old phone to the new one seems very daunting. There's always a worry that you might lose your important data during the process. Your contacts, music and photos are all things that you find precious and want to keep hold of - but so is your time. So what do you do?

 

EE have teamed up with Enjoy to offer a new, superfast delivery service with expert set-up, which is exactly what you need. I was lucky enough to spend a day with one of the Enjoy Experts to see what it was all about.

 

Within a few hours of you ordering your phone, you could be sitting down with an Enjoy Expert at a delivery location of your choice. They'll help you set up everything from transferring your data down to getting that fiddly screen protector fitted onto the screen - best of all, it’s free.

I visited the Glasgow Enjoy hub and met the team for their morning brief. Once all the vans were loaded with kit, I joined Adam in his van and we set off to our first appointment. Adam is one of the Glasgow Enjoy Experts and was kindly letting me tag along for the day.

 

Our first visit was a family who were excitedly waiting for their teenage daughter's new phone and were really happy to see us. Everything she needed to get her up and running was held in the little grey bag we brought along with us.

 

She wasn’t sure about whether she had backed up her contacts or data and her parents didn’t know where to start - this is where Adam stepped in. He sat down and talked her through all the backups and settings on her old phone, making sure everything had completed. While that was happening, he talked her through the differences from the old model and the new one.

Taking the time to explain about how the data transfers worked and moving the SIM card over to the new phone to start the set-up process, even going through setting up the face recognition and passwords. Then the question of if they wanted the screen protector fitted came up and, of course, the answer was yes. The phone was finally put into a new case and into the hands of its new owner, all ready to go. She was pretty confident with the new phone so didn’t need much help with it after the initial set up.

 

I was really impressed at his attention to detail and knowledge about the phones. We said our goodbyes and left the family to have their evening meal, setting off for the next drop off.

 

Our second drop off was a reasonably quick visit, another upgrade with a short session of backing up information and downloading it to the new phone, making sure everything was working properly. Adam even linked up all their devices with the home WiFi while we were there. He did all the hard work while I kept the family’s adorable puppy entertained. I must admit, that was my favourite visit of the day!

 

We had a fair distance to travel to our last stop, which was very different. A customer who had had the same phone for a long time had been very surprised to hear about the new service. She instantly took up the offer because, in her own words, she wasn’t very tech savvy when it came to phones.

The phone hadn’t been backed up in many years and Adam tailored the experience to meet her needs exactly. He wrote down all the information for her to keep, so that she could follow the steps again later if she needed to. She said she would have spent hours trying to get everything done by herself and may even have given up and resorted to writing down all of her contacts and putting them into the new phone manually. We spent quite some time there making sure she was confident with her new phone and the old one was ready to pass on to her mum.

 

Having spent the day with Adam, I can honestly say that the service that EE and Enjoy offer is absolutely fantastic. You can take as little or as much help as you need, and the Enjoy Experts are more than happy to talk you through all the workings of your new phone. I loved seeing how quickly each person got comfortable with their new gadgets and it was a day that I thoroughly…enjoyed!
