Hi having just upgraded my phone which hasn't arrived yet has there been any policy change with regards to not being able to unblock you phone within 6 months ?
since of-com is banning the sale of locked phones and will be implemented in December 2021 you would think the providers would start to unlock your phone as its going to be happening whether they like it or not.
is it possible to get a better answer than " you must have your device for 6 months".
The other option is to take my 3 contracts I hold with EE and move to a network that wont stop you doing what you want with the device I am paying for.
what difference is it to ee ? the contract still gets paid regardless what network we choose to use

@nigsiv22 It’s 6 months still. It’s not about whether they like it or not the ruling is December not before.
The device that your paying for is on credit and you don’t own that device until 6 months is up and that’s how EE sees it otherwise you would of purchased it at full price at the point of sale.

@nigsiv22 Sorry I forgot to put, that’s device last sold after that date will be not network unlocked not devices before that date.
