I have received a new sim card, a family member registered the sim in the UK (with ee's advice) and sent it to Portugal, where i am. It is still not working and when i put it in my phone it says 'sim card not provisioned'. Very frustrating as it was registered in the UK

A PAYG SIM won't work abroad unless it was 1st actually used for calls or texts in UK on EE's home network. Registering it does nowt to the SIM itself, just to the MyEE site. You can't use it until you return to UK.

ahh I see , thanks very much for this info. Actually its the second new sim card that has been sent out to me by on ee's own advice, Ive been without a uk sim for 5 months now which is super annoying!! So i guess the solution is to go through the whole process again and get a family member to make a call or text.
Thanks again for making this clear
