iphone and apple watch

i have a iphone and apple watch with 2 diff sim contracts, my devices are linked but when im out of reach of my phone my watch doesnt connect, is there a way to get my watch number changed to same as phone num so they linked together at all times wether i have my phone on me or not?

Have you set up your watch in the Apple Watch app?
