iPhone 12 pro: not first come first served!

Hi

I placed an order for an iPhone 12 pro 128gb in graphite on the 23rd Nov.

My order is showing as delayed to the 10th Jan. I have read countless times that EE is working with Apple to fulfil orders on a first come first served basis but if a new customer goes to buy this same phone today they are told it will arrive tomorrow. Screenshot attached.

It’s a joke that new customers are being prioritised over those that have been waiting more than a month.

We have the same issue ordered the Graphite on the 21st November as our daughters Xmas present and the date has now changed to the 9th January for delivery! When I could apparently order this to arrive tomorrow! EE no notification to customers we would have ordered elsewhere if we knew this wouldn’t have arrived for Christmas.

I ordered iPhone 12 Pro 128gb graphite on 25th November. It has said awaiting confirmation right up to Friday where it changed to expected delivery 22nd - 24th December. So just about within the 28 days.

Today I’ve checked again and it now says expected 4th - 9th Jan!!

This is extremely disappointing, won’t be here for Christmas and if it actually arrives will be over 42 days delivery which is extremely poor! If I’d known I would have ordered direct from Apple.

What is going on EE??

@JG1231   And you believe what the internet says.       Call customer services and point out this page,  no new customer will get a device before any who’s still waiting.

To contact EE Customer Services dial 150 From your EE mobile or 0800 956 6000 from any other phone.

Either way, if what you’re saying is correct then EE isn’t being upfront with new customers.

@JG1231 Hi, I ordered mine on the 17th november and it arriving today. as you are soon after me then I'd expect yours to arrive in the next week, fingers crossed. I agree EE have not handled this well at all. If they are currently behind the 28 days time frame with orders already heavily exceeding that deadline then it is extremely irresponsible of them to continue advertising these devices they know they will not be able to supply within the time frame. A good example of a large company making promises they know they cannot meet in order to keep sales up during a period of stock shortages. Hope yours arrives soon.

Hi all.

Not sure what happened there. The website is now showing the correct current delivery estimates for new orders.

Hi @JG1231

I'm not sure how that happened. The correct estimated delivery timescales are now showing for new orders.

We're working with Apple to get these devices sent out as soon as possible.
