iPhone 12 Pro delivery

How long in an estimate will I be waiting for my iPhone 12 Pro. I got it in pacific blue 128Gb. 

I ordered it on saturday last week and it still says awaiting confirmation or the despatch date and arrival section.

Due to limited stock availability, we are fulfilling all orders for the iPhone 12 Pro 128GB Pacific Blue on a first come first serve basis and are working with Apple to get this to you as soon as possible.

I fail to see where this thread has answered my original question of why yesterday I had an excepted delivery date of 16-21st December and my order has been put back to awaiting confirmation. 

I renewed my contract based on loyalty as I was prepared to swap carrier due to getting a better deal elsewhere for the same phone and I fail to see why there are stocking issues when other carriers don’t seem to have this problem.

Is there any update on my order. I ordered my phone on 20th November and I am still receive any update openly knowing that people who ordered on 19th have now received their phone. Is there any guarantee now that this will come before Christmas or is it highly likely to be after Xmas now and if so how long after Xmas ? 
a courtesy email to people awaiting orders wouldn’t have gone a miss in all fairness and it doesn’t fill me with a lot of confidence when due for next upgrade or continuance with the service
