Hey everyone. Hope you’re all well and staying safe.
I wanted to see if anyone knows what the chances are of my order for iPhone 12 Pro Max arriving on release day? In the past I’ve had phones arrive late (7+, X) which were in high demand, and phones arrive on time (XS Max, 11 Pro Max).
I submitted my upgrade on Friday at 12:51 (9 minutes before the preorder actually went live, I changed some values in the address bar), and I had a text to say my order is now confirmed today at 16:34. I’m not sure how popular the 12PM is this year, but does anyone have any idea if this will definitely come on Friday, or not to hold my breath?

I got my 10 digit order number today - starting to think I should have ordered over the phone now haha!

I believe I did! 🙂 I got the email confirmation on Friday and today (today’s email stated “Thank you for upgrading on EE. Your order is winging its way to you right this minute so get ready to say hello to your new device”

There’s no way of knowing for sure, the lady who put my order through said it was one of the first (1:15pm Friday) so I have faith, the only time you’ll start to get an idea is in Wednesday / Thursday when the tracker will start to change and if past years are anything to go by you get text after text about things coming off your plan and then details of your new plan

That makes sense, thank you! 🙂 considering I was able to order before 1pm, I believe I should be very early in line, but I’ve been victim of the first come not necessarily being first served before.

Reason I ask is that I also ordered online before 1pm as I saw the phone on website. I even received email with an order number. However, when I looked at my account it said I was still due an upgrade even though I processed my upgrade. I called EE to verify my order and they said there was no online order. They said there was problem with website and phone shouldn’t of been displayed on site and orders prior to 1pm wouldn’t be processed. I had to place my upgrade order over the phone.

I think it's just generally broken - I took out renew of my plan over the phone and here I am 3 months later eligible for a standard upgrade on a 12 month plan

Very interesting! Thankfully the option to upgrade has been removed from my app as of today so it could be good news! 🙂

Actually I had ordered mine on Friday around 1:30pm and got the email straight away, however what bothered me was the fact that the pin verification didn’t work. I left it as it is and around 4 I called in EE to confirm that everything went through just fine and they told me that it didn’t.... I had to process my upgrade over the phone and got the text message with 10 digit order number straight away. I specifically asked if I am still getting mine on the 13th and the representative told me that probably yes.
Fingers crossed will get mine on Friday. Can’t wait
