For those of you who purchase a pre-owned galaxy watch please be aware that there are only 2 carriers that offer the 4g data set-up. One being ee, and the other is:, Vodafone. When you try to set up a data plan through ee, you will need the unlock code from the original carrier, in my case the watch I purchased was on a Vodafone contract and was locked to that carrier. After trying to set up a plan myself through ee, they reset the esim twice and it would not set up the data side through the wearable app on my galaxy phone. After contacting the previous owner of the watch he found out you need the unlock code to get the data plan onto your ee account. That plan is separate from your phone data plan which you will pay extra for, costing me £7 per month, unlimited data. Its now working OK and I can use my watch for text and calls without having my phone with me. Work in progress, I'll let you all know how things progress.

Hi,
Can you please elaborate on if the person who sold you the watch obtained the unlock code from Vodafone and passed that on to you?
I have just purchased a second hand watch and it is locked to Vodafone, I had read previously that all Samsung watches were not carrier locked and had hoped to use this as a secondary watch for working in and can't get any joy with connecting to my account.
Many thanks.

Hi @franko3.
Welcome to the community.
If you're unable to get back in touch with the original owner, I'd recommend contacting Vodafone to see if they're able to help you.
Let us know how you get on.
