eSim after factory reset

I have an eSim with an iPhone 8. If I do a factory reset on my phone, can i re-activate my eSIM on the same (or even a different) phone?

Hi @Andy117,

Welcome to the EE Community. 🙂

You'll need to order a replacement eSIM pack if you factory reset your phone.

Thanks

James

Thanks for the information, James

Would I lose my existing phone number and also have to keep paying for the
existing eSIM if I had to do a factory reset? Or is there a way to migrate
the plan and phone number after a factory reset?

Hello @Andy117

If you get a replacement QR code from either in-store or by giving us a call you will keep the same number.

I hope this helps,

Katie.

When you do a factory reset it is meant to give you an option to retain any data plans on the esim which should in theory allow the esim to survive the reset. It’s not a process I’ve tried myself though so couldn’t say for sure it will work
