Wi-Fi calling gone since Android 11 update

Jake888

Hi everyone,

My WiFi calling seems to have completely vanished from my phone since the most recent Android update. This is super annoying as i work at sea and it was very important that I have this for contacting people and companies on land while away.

Do anyone know why this has happened? It used to be displayed on my drop down but has completely vanished. I have an S20

Hi @Jake888

You will only have access to this option if you are connected to a UK network or WiFi service.

Are you a pay monthly contract customer?

Thanks

Thanks to @NYRBrian for posting the link to Samsung's forum, but on a general point as regards using WiFi-calling offshore & abroad:

WiFi-calling is intended to expand EE's indoor coverage whilst in the UK and is unsupported for use abroad. While it does often work on foreign broadband networks, using your phone abroad is called roaming and you are liable for the service either not to work, or for roaming charges to be imposed.
