When to get a 5G enabled iPhone?

I need to upgrade from my iPhone 6S due to declining battery life, but I can't find out when 5G coverage will reach Ripon area. Until there is any clarity on this is there any reason to upgrade?

You will have to just keep checking the coverage checker to see when 5G is enabled. They will only announce big cities that are being covered by 5G.

No one can tell you if there is any point to upgrade or not because if you regularly go to a 5G area then yes why not upgrade?

Or you can just be 5G ready and upgrade to one now. Remember you also need a 5G plan to get 5G.
