Hi, I switched to a SIM only plan a few months ago.. and was told I could still upgrade to a new phone at anytime. I have tried upgrading through Caroline warehouse, as they have a better deal, but it keeps saying that I can't upgrade. And EE site it says I can only upgrade in July 2021!. Caroline warehouse said that I can start a new contract.. ? I am.thinking about switching to another network if I can't get the upgrade I want?

There is some discrepancy in the guidance on this, but what minimum term of SIM only plan are you on? This is important - are you on a 30day plan, 12month or 24month? And what plan were you on before moving to SIM only?
Taking a 12month SIM only plan as an example, most customer service staff will advise that you can upgrade after 4months. But some of the T&C in EE's price guides appear to contradict this.
