I have contract in my name that my son in law uses.( contract has now ended) but he is continuing to use it as uses it for work.I want to transfer into his name ? But he also may want to go to another provider. Can I change to his name and then get pac code. Thanks

Seems easier to me for him to take a contract with other provider and give your PAC to them on his new number. Whether it's with EE or another network, he will need to pass a credit check.

To phone EE CS: Dial Freephone +44 800 079 8586 - Option 1 for Mobile Phone & Mobile Broadband or Option 2 for Home Broadband & Home Phone

ISPs: 1999: Freeserve 48K Dial-Up > 2005: Wanadoo 1 Meg BB > 2007: Orange 2 Meg BB > 2008: Orange 8 Meg LLU > 2010: Orange 16 Meg LLU > 2011: Orange 20 Meg WBC > 2014: EE 20 Meg WBC > 2020: EE 40 Meg FTTC > 2022:EE 80 Meg FTTC SoGEA > 2025 EE 150 Meg FTTP
That is what we have done.  He has taken out another contract and given them the pac code,  but it won't work because they have different surnames. Had message saying problem with surname so not ported

In that case, before you ask for PAC, you need to call CS with both of you available to effect a change of ownership. He will need to pass a credit check.

The process for changing ownership of an EE pay-monthly phone is explained under "transfer to a friend, colleague or family member" on this EE help page
