My phone contract is due to run out on the 28th of October, Iv just chose to go with a sim only contract today! I just wondered will it automatically switch over or do I need to let EE know, I don’t want 2 payments coming out next month.

@Finlay2   Providing you upgrade your current contract will terminate and you new one will start.

If this wasn’t an upgrade you have to taken out a new sim only contract and you’ll have 2 bills.

To contact EE Customer Services dial 150 From your EE mobile or 0800 956 6000 from any other phone.

I haven’t chose to upgrade to a new phone, I just want to keep my current phone and have it as a sim only contract now that my current contract is up but it is the time I could have upgraded?

Doesn't sound like you've upgraded but just taken out a new SIM-Only contract. That's not the way to go about it. You should have upgraded to SIM-Only. Then it would just replace your old contract on the same mobile no.

These contracts don't just end, just the min. term expires. They are not fixed term contracts. After the min. term they just carry on at the same price on a rolling 30-days' notice basis until you explicitly cancel or upgrade. So you'll be paying for 2 contacts until you take explicit steps to correct it.
