There seems to be quite a few questions regarding this, but apart from EE (The UKs best Network) replying and suggesting a lesser phone, are there any plans to support Sony's Latest Flagship Phone, one of the best spec'ed phones on the market?
I have phoned Customer services twice, 1st i was promised a call back the following day, but got nothing, the 2nd, just a we don't know, but probably not.
Come on EE! You support every other Sony Flagship of recent years, and even the No2, the Xperia 5 ii, but I like many others want the better phone for its features on EE WITH WiFi calling.

I've been trying to work this out as well. Is someone from EE able to respond?

Hi @R4ms4y.
I'm still waiting for an official answer to this.
Going off previous Sony phones, they will usually be compatible with WiFi Calling after a firmware update.

Hi @rboxall,
Sorry, we can only guarantee WiFi calling support for phones purchased direct from EE. I'd recommend contacting Sony to ask if they are planning to add support for EE WiFi calling in a future software update.

Hi @James_B
I have just spoken to Sony and the phone supports WiFi Calling and nothing more is needed from them for it to work, The support comes from the EE Network side. So, are EE intending to support this handset or do users of this handset need to choose another mobile operator like O2 where it does work? For the information of anyone reading this i can confirm it does work on O2!

Hi @rboxall,
WiFi Calling is automatically enabled for all of our pay monthly customers but your device must support it. We aren't able to change the software on your phone, any updates must come from the manufacturer.

@James_B as the person above said, sony xperia x1 ii supports wifi calling. And if I place an O2 sim in my phone, it will use WiFi calling. The issue is with EE, not wanting to support phones not bought directly from yourselves. And the fact you keep trying to blame Sony, when it is clearly an EE issue. Are you able to find out an answer on when you will support the phone?
