How do I register a sim I want to use in a mobile router? Do I have to put it into a phone, so that I can get the code message?

Hi @spnglemonkey

Thanks for coming to the community..

Do you have a pay as you go or pay monthly SIM?

Are you looking to set up a My EE account and need the code?

Thanks 🙂

Leanne.

The sim is pay-as-you-go.

Yes, the sim will only be used in a mobile router, and I need the code to register it. I can't put it in my locked phone.

The number is xxxxxxxxxxx

Hi @spnglemonkey

Thanks for coming back to me.

Which mobile router are you using?

Leanne.

Its an old Huawei. I don't have it close just now so not sure of the model. The sim works, till it ran out of initial data.

Hi @spnglemonkey

You should be able to receive texts to the device, you can find full information on our What texts will I get on my 4GEE WiFi device? Help page.

You can buy data, if you open your browser when connected to the device and go to add-on.ee.co.uk

Thanks 🙂

Leanne.
