(1) If the phone is second hand and i buy a Contract SIM, can i have the phone unlocked after 6 months?

(2) When requesting to unlock, should i use my number or the number for the original owner?

@JJamu :

  1. It makes no diff putting any EE SIM in a 2nd hand phone. You can get a 2nd-hand phone unlocked (as per the Solution of that other thread) after it itself is 6 months old from original purchase if it were on contract or immediately if it were on PAYG, providing it is "clean".
  2. The mobile no. is irrelevant for 2nd-hand unlocks. It's the IMEI that counts.
