Poor upgrade deals, every two years.

I’m tired of going through this every two years.
Ive been with Orange/EE for 20+ years now, I’ve introduced all 3 family members to EE and we pay over £ 2000 a year combined.

Yet every time it comes to upgrade, we have to dig out the Vodaphone sim, cancel our existing EE contracts, switch our numbers to the vodaphone payg, then switch back to our new EE contract.
It’s not to save small amounts either, this year I’m going though the usual rigmarole to save £ 9 pm, that’s £ 231 over the term.

Why can’t EE give existing customers, the same deal, we can find for new customers, with third party suppliers ?

With the current situation, it’s going to be even more of a task, with call waiting times of an hour plus.

Come on EE, reward loyalty, or lose it.

Hi @ChrisO3

You can often get good account-specific offers on upgrades by contacting EE direct.

But the frustrations you have, probably exist across the entire mobile industry and I suspect your complaint is best directed at Ofcom for wanting to encourage competition & easy switching.

Hello @ChrisO3

Thanks for coming to the community.

I am sorry to hear this, if you give us a call our Mobile Care team will have access to your account and see what options are available for your upgrade.

We’re doing everything we can to help our customers and look after the wellbeing of our people during the Coronavirus outbreak.

Our contact centres in the UK and Ireland are open to help keep you connected, but we have fewer people available to take your calls.

Thanks.

Leanne.

There used to be good family deals... like the guy who instigated this thread - there is a very normal expectation of getting a reasonable offer for four family members - i am struggling to even get through to ee right now frankly and those family offers seem to have gone - maybe i have to leave as well to then come back on a decent introductory offer.

Hi @baznpol,

Welcome to the community 🙂

I'm sorry to hear you have been unable to contact our Upgrades Team

Have you used our Online Chat Service to speak to EE regarding your upgrade options? Our Upgrades Team are currently on line and available to help.

Alex 🙂
