Hello,

I have my 4G unlimited Wifi sim with a Netgear Nighthawk 2 Router. Up until now everything has been stable and working well in the ST3 Area of Stoke, But since Yesterday I've been getting good download and upload speeds but terrible ping , spiking from 30 to over 300 every 2-3 seconds making gaming impossible and its been constant throughout yesterday and today, I restart my router every week and keep it up to date, There has been no updates lately and I have restarted it to make sure this is not the issue, I have also used my older Nighthawk 1 with the same results.

Running a simple Tracert to Google I get:

over a maximum of 30 hops:

Trace complete.

As you can see it's quite bad, on normal Broadband this would normally indicate a fault at the exchange or internet throttling however with mobile broadband I'm not sure.

Is there a way I can see if they are working on the line and its a temporary problem or should I take some other steps.

Regards.

Ah OK, thanks @laurence99

It may be worth trying to speak to them again, to see if they can look into this further.

I mean there is not much else I can say to them, there is only so much time I can afford to waste trying to persuade someone to make an effort to look into the problem when they have basically said they are not interested in my stability or ping as long as my speeds are above 5Mb. I shouldn't have to keep calling, waiting to be transferred then go through the entire issue again followed by the debate that my router is fine and the problem is not my end to then be told they aren't really going to look into the issue , that's not what I'm paying £35 a month for. Only EE can decide if they want to make the effort or not to fix the problem.

I'm Guessing this issue is not going to be sorted for me as I haven't heard anything back in a while now and problem seems to be just getting worse. Who do I speak to to get my contract terminated?
