Phone fault

My iPhone XR has receiver has suddenly become distorted & very low volume so that on calls it’s hard to hear. I’ve gone through all settings to make sure it’s not something I’ve done. The phone has always been looked after and has no damage etc . Surely this will be covered under the consumer act 2015 as it’s developed a fault within its contract period etc

@Ben986  Apple provided the warranty on that device and that warranty is 12 months from the time of purchase.  If the device has developed a fault after this period you’ll have to get an independent report at your own cost to show proof that the fault was always on this device and was going to happen when you got it.  

That’s part of the consumer rights act.
