Pack not activating

Timburz
Explorer

I registered an ee payg sim in my phone in the uk but realised I hadn’t completed payment for a pack before I travelled to Jersey (Channel Islands). I paid for the pack while in jersey and my account says it’s active but I’ve been unable to make texts or calls or use data (unless I’ve been on WiFi) Tried checking obvious settings and they are the same as my partner’s who did the same as me but completed payment for the pack in the uk. Any suggestions??

As you didn't use that PAYG SIM for making calls or texts in UK before you left to go abroad, you can't now use it until you return to UK. EE PAYG SIMs need 1st activating on EE's home UK network.

To phone EE CS: Dial Freephone +44 800 079 8586 - Option 1 for Mobile Phone & Mobile Broadband or Option 2 for Home Broadband & Home Phone

Thank you. The sim was in the phone in the uk and connected to ee, but is the issue that I didn’t send a text or make a call from the uk? Is there any way to contact EE to get it activated??

Hi @Timburz

Thanks for coming to the community.

Sorry we are unable to activate the SIM card for you. Once the SIM is used in the UK on the EE network this will activate.

Thanks.

Leanne.
