I upgraded at 8.10am this morning. Advisor was great and all smooth over about 30 mins on the phone
however I am yet to receive the confirmation messages like some of you seem to be getting

@SteveH1981 that’s because when you request to place an order at that time it goes into a queue to be processed when pre order open for everyone. Once it’s placed you get the order confirmation. I did similar & got confirmation just after 1pm

I'm certainly glad I called EE, I managed to get the 13 pro max ordered by 1:30pm on Friday online and even had the confirmation order email stating everything but the tracking page could never find anything.
Called EE to check only to find my order didn't even exist in the system, what the hell EE. So now I've had to pre-order the 1TB in Sierra blue again 2 days after the pre-order day so hell now what month it'll show up now, great bloody job EE.

After the surges of orders and technical issues when ordering on launch day in EE upgrade store my order had claimed it went through and to await a tracking number, so I waited until the end of the day in case it was just delayed a-bit. Fairly reasonable assumption.
Time passed and nothing.
So I rang 150, and explained to the operator the issue tbh he went through everything and order was indeed in a technical glitch and hasn’t processed properly, no problems, we got the upgrade done over the phone and I’ve actually saved more money. The only additional costs was the £6.98 for delivery which is tbh is a drop in the ocean for next day delivery.
So a big shout out to the customer service team for their hard work and understanding. Somethings are worth waiting for 🙂
