I ordered a new EE PAYG sim and sent my PAC code and other info to transfer my old number. The email I got had instructions to "insert your new EE sim into your device to complete your number being moved to EE and account being closed with your old network provider." So I did. I haven't registered this new number to the app yet, and still haven't topped up because I'm waiting for my old number to be moved.
How long does this usually take? Are there any other steps after inserting the sim?
My iPhone and other apps have been bugging me with notifications to update my number since it has detected a new one.

How long ago did you place the EE SIM card in the phone?

Thank you! I've had it for about 12 hours now. I've only had a welcome text, but not a text about transferring yet. Is there anything else I need to do?
If I register this new number here or on the My EE app, will I get to edit it when I get my old number back?
