New sim or old sim?

I have upgraded my phone but keeping the same phone number. EE are sending me a new sim card, but do I use it or use my old sim? I'm changing from an iphone XR to an iphone 12.

To contact EE Customer Services dial 150 From your EE mobile or 0800 956 6000 from any other phone.
