Hello
i have got a new iPhone 12 for my daughter as a bday gift with a pay as your go sim. I am trying to set it up. The sim is in the phone but it is not showing ee on the top is the screen. It won’t allow me to call or text 150. On the paperwork that came with the sim is the phone number for the sim and I have registered my daughter for an ee account but on step 3 when it asks for the telephone number and I put it in I get the following message
I don’t know what to do and I’m going round in circles. Any advice? I haven’t even been able to put credit on the sim yet as I can’t seem to get that far.

@Freym Is this screen shot from the device in question? If it is you need to allow the sim to activate as I can see there is no signal bars showing on the screen shot. The sim will take up to 24 hours to activate. Try restarting the device a few time as this can help.

Are you trying to add your daughter's PAYG no. to your own contract a/c?

Yes this is the sim in the phone. I’ve waited 24 hours and still nothing…

Hi
I got her a sim card and was going to do the flexiplan thing. I thought it had to be in her name? The message I’ve shared is what I get when I am trying to set it up in her name. I ordered the sim in her name. Should I order a sim from my account and try with that? I’m really stuck!

Morning @Freym
If you are setting up a new My EE account for the new SIM card, this should work for you.
I would suggest giving our Pay as you go Care team a call, they can check the account and help you get the My EE account set up.
Let me know how you get on.
Leanne.

If your own MyEE a/c is for contract no(s). you can't add a PAYG or Flex no. to it. Hence that msg (not very clear is it, @Leanne_T ?). They don't mix. You need to create a separate MyEE a/c for the PAYG or Flex no.
