New iPhone SE and SIM

CP82

I have just bought a new iPhone SE with a new SIM from EE. Does the SIM need to be activated? I have out it into the iPhone but it doesn't look to be recognized-  on the top left corner it says "No SIM".

Thanks

CP

@CP82  have you put the Sim in the correct way round ? be very careful when you take it back out as you could damage something inside the phone.

To contact EE Customer Services dial 150 From your EE mobile or 0800 956 6000 from any other phone.

Thanks. I think I have put it in the correct way.

@CP82   If you did it wouldn’t say no sim.

To contact EE Customer Services dial 150 From your EE mobile or 0800 956 6000 from any other phone.

Thanks. I have taken the SIM out and put it back again (as showed in one of the many videos available online). It still says  No SIM. Is there any other possible reason?

Hi @CP82,

Was the SIM inserted correctly when you checked?

If not, could you see any damage to the SIM tray?

Thanks

James
