New Sim

Hi, I recently ordered a new sim card this week and I put the new sim into my phone, I then went to create an account on EE but on the final step it seems not to register or recognise the new number that the EE gave me, not only that but it seems the Sim is also not working on my phone preventing me from making phone calls, text and etc. I have tried activating the sim however messages aren't coming through my phone I do not know what to do anymore.

Can you explain the reason for ordering a new SIM, and whether you're on PAYG or pay-monthly? Was this a fault replacement, or a new subscription?

Hi I ordered the sim for new subscription and basically changed from my old sim company (called ID) to the EE sim and I have chosen pay monthly contract for the ee sim.

So you've taken out an additional new line, presumably on your existing account - and will be porting across a number from ID-Mobile to replace the temporary EE number?

 

Have you ported the number across yet, or are you currently on the temporary EE number?

 

I'd personally be very tempted to wait until the number port is complete before trying to add the new number to an existing myEE account.

I am not quite sure what you mean, can you explain a bit further please. 

You appear to have 2 separate issues here, one is your myEE online registration which I will leave to others more familiar with that.

 

On the SIM issue - I understand that you have bought a new SIM and intend to port your existing ID-Mobile number across. Is this a PAYG SIM or pay-monthly?

The sim is pay monthly

Are you porting your old number across from your previous network, or keeping the number that EE provided on the new SIM card?

They will be able to access your account and help you to get your online account set up.
