I just received a new EE SIM that I am going to use in a 4G router I bought. This will allow me to use the EE mast close by (inner hebrides) and go on the www....However I can't register on the app as when I do the system asks for the code sent to the phone number that i typed into the box. This number was on the packaging but as its not in a phone how do I get the code. I tried a spare phone but it says the SIM not compatible....Any ideas how I move on....TA.....

Hi @DiscoDave
Some routers have a desktop management program that may let you read text messages, I've no idea if yours does. Is the SIM live & activated yet?
As long as your spare phone will accept EE SIMs there's no reason it shouldn't work, but without knowing the make/model/history of that phone there's more variables there.
I'm presuming it's the myEE app you're trying to register for, but you've not said.

@DiscoDave : Most MBB routers can do texts. Login to your MBB router at http://192.168.1.1 with username/pwd as "admin"/"admin" or with the password found under the battery cover & look for the SMS tab.
