My iphone 12 pro max order

I've placed an order a few days ago on a iPhone 12 pro max, Pacific blue. I've already paid £50 upfront for a monthly payment of £77 plus a sim which includes 100GB. 

 

Before yesterday, EE told me to call them so I can confirm a few details. Which I did and everything went smoothly.

 

  1. So I asked them when my order will arrive. And they told me it will arrive on monday and I will receive a text on sunday (today) from DPD. 

 

Now I haven't recieved any text today and to tell you the truth, I'm a little worried I won't recieve my order tomorrow.

 

I know this might be difficult times for all of us but I was really hoping to receive my order tomorrow. Any chance I might get some help from EE about this?

Any updates on your order yet?

I'll give that a shot actually because when I called them from the beginning, they told me that in my area they were in stock. But when I called them again to see why I haven't gotten text from DPD, i think the person i was speaking with didn't know where I was residing in. 

I spoke to someone today and he was honest with me, he said its very unlikely I'll get it until the new year. 

 

He said that due to the first apple 5G phone demand has been stupidly high, coronovirus has made production and also transportation difficult plus the make and model I want is also highly wanted (Pacific 256gig)

 

He apologised if I was told different in store but that's the situation we are in.

 

Preferred an honest answer from him than the same generic stuff you get usually.

I think honesty is the best policy,, I get the situation but ee staff really need to drop the promises if they cannot fill them,, I got lucky as I cancelled my order this morning and rang around a few big stores and luckily they had the one I wanted in stock so off I went and did a early upgrade they had a few graphite and the blue but it’s Leeds not sure where it from 

I have been waiting a month for my upgrade now, ordered 512gb in gold as it was the only one showing in stock at the time. 

spoke to EE customer services and the guy said it was going to be 28 days for delivery as they were waiting for stock! 

it has now been over that and I can’t get through to speak with anyone, going to ring my local store tomorrow and see what stock they have. Hopefully I will get a better response from them.

I rang 3 stores and luckily the 3rd one had it in stock,,

it was about a 25 minute drive from my house but I’m so glad I now have my iPhone now, 

Had several texts from EE today saying my new plan was now active and smart benefits have been added.

 

Checked the DPD app and it says they’ve received my order details and are expecting my parcel shortly. It’s showing that it’ll be delivered tomorrow.

 

Fingers crossed, has anyone else had any updates?

I’ve still had nothing, 

 

checked my local EE stores, they have none in stock and said it would probably be January now! 

Hopefully I’ll hear something soon.
