My contract finished in August for my current iPhone XS, and I'd like to switch to SIM only in the meantime to save on money until the next gen of iPhones are released. This would mean having a SIM only deal for a couple of months or so.
When I choose my upgrade option and select 'SIM only', my only options are 12/24 month contracts. I know EE do a monthly 30 day SIM deal, but I am not given any option for this?

Hi @toby95
Because you are already on the 30 day SIM only contract when your tariff expires (your current tariff reverts to a 30 day contract). If you want to change down then to a lower tariff then you need to speak to EE CS on 150.
Thanks

@Profile closed @toby95 not necessarily it will also depend on how long you been an EE customer for before they will allow you to upgrade to a full contract from a sim only. As a rule it’s 6 months but this can come down to 3 months if you’ve been within EE for sometime but if you’ve been with EE/Orange/T-mobile for what seems like forever then they’ll allow you to upgrade to a full tariff at anytime.
@toby95 you need to speak with customer services before you take out a sim only deal to find out how long you’ll have to wait before they’ll allow you to upgrade before your upgrade period from a sim only at no cost cuts cost.
The fact that the next iPhone is going to be out in the next month or so you might as well stay as you are and then upgrade when the device is out.

The upgrade eligibility rules on page 5 of the SIM only price guide here are quite clear when it comes to 12month SIM only plans.
Unfortunately there is no such guidance on 24month plans.
