Hi can anyone confirm that Samsung Z flip 5g or non EE LTE version will work in areas that use 4g on band 20. Looking for a small phone but EE don't do any compact phones. My Sony Z5 compact is getting a bit long in the tooth now.

@koj1888 Yes it will but you have to be on contract to access band 20 it’s not available to PAYG.

Does anyone know if the Lte version will work as it is not an ee phone. I had to flash my Z5 compact with ee firmware to get it to work. So just because it supports Lte that is no guarantee.

@koj1888  here’s the bands the 4G variant this device supports

Technology GSM / CDMA / HSPA / EVDO / LTE
2G bands GSM 850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900
  CDMA 800 / 1900
3G bands HSDPA 850 / 900 / 1700(AWS) / 1900 / 2100
  CDMA2000 1xEV-DO
4G bands 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 7, 8, 12, 13, 14, 17, 18, 19, 20, 25, 26, 28, 29, 30, 34, 38, 39, 40, 41, 46, 66, 71
Speed HSPA 42.2/5.76 Mbps, LTE-A (5CA) Cat16 1000/150 Mbps

You’ll not get any more information than this.   EE Android doesn’t open up more bandwidths on a device if that device already supports that bandwidth.
