Is the chat function ever operational? Need urgent help re damaged sim card

Hi, my SIM card has been damaged, I am currently abroad but need a new SIM to be sent to a UK address of a friend that I will be moving to. I cannot call the help line since my SIM doesn't work. Can someone please help me. I thought I could chat to someone but the chat function doesn't seem to be on offer. Thank you very much for your help...

Hi @TerezaPulta,

Please login to My EE to access live chat. You'll see an invitation to chat when advisors are available.

Thanks

Hi @TerezaPulta

Are you on PAYG or pay-monthly? There's no live chat for PAYG

Do you have access to another phone that you could use to call EE's lost & stolen line?

How do I get in touch with the help centre then to send me a new sim card
when mine is damaged?

If you're in the UK, you can call EE on 0800 0798586 from any phone.

If you're abroad, you can do the same from +44 7953 966250

Hello @TerezaPulta

Thanks for coming to the community.

Have you been able to follow the steps provided to speak with our customer care team?

Speak soon,

Katie 🙂

No I have not. I don't have a functional phone number. The one that I can't
use now is the only one I currently have.

Hi @TerezaPulta,

As live chat isn't available for pay as you go accounts, you would need to contact Customer Care from another phone.

I'm sorry we couldn't help with this query in the community.
