I'm interested to know of anyone has received their iPhone 12 pro max 512gb yet? I ordered mine in Pacific Blue over 3 weeks ago. Still says my order is on track but still no estimated delivery date. The scripted responses from EE are no help at all. Just wondered if this spec of phone actually exists 🤔

You are not alone, I as well as numerous others are having the same issues, I was told 24/48hrs delivery when I bought the thing and then it crept up 3-5days, 7-10 days, 14, 21 then 28. Basically EE don’t have them, they are literally selling something they don’t have. Many of us have complained but all we get is the standard scripted response, you’ll also find that if you complain too much your posts get removed. This one probably will be. I’m afraid it’s a case of call EE and cancel or hold on and hope it turns up this year, I personally think it’s going to be new year befor we start seeing them. Sorry for the bad news.

@LeJarde Apple are selling them and they don't have them to ship out.

Apple can't keep up with demand and they are finding it hard to get parts to manufacturer them due to the pandemic.

I’m fully aware of the issues apple are having at this time, however this is no excuse. Apple cannot be held responsible for EE selling product that they cannot deliver in a reasonable time frame. EE Shouldn’t of started selling them until they had sufficient stock. Very poor business model if your long term goal is customer retention, however I feel customer retention isn’t EE’s goal, it’s all about profit and not customer satisfaction.

I ordered a 12 Pro, Pacific Blue 128Gb and gave up near the end of the 21-day suggested wait (having seen people on here, who’d ordered weeks before me, still not getting delivery)  and sourced a 256Gb model from an Apple store.

I made sure I could cancel my EE phone order beforehand and switched to a SIM-only contract.

Didn’t check how easy it was to get a 512Gb version from Apple and I had to stalk the availability from them over a few days but as I had already flogged my XR, I needed a replacement - pronto.

It was an option that worked for me and the guy at the Apple store said even he’d had to wait three weeks to get one himself.

May be of use 👍

@LeJarde if we go by what you state then Apple should sell them either.

The stock is not held at EE. They come straight from Apple to you.

It's not EEs fault Apple can't keep up with demand.

This happens every single year with an iPhone launch and yet every year you Apple people are very surprised by the matter.

I’ve never had an issue as severe as this. Simple as. End point sales! Read up on it. EE have an obligation to ensure that they have adequate supply to meet demand. If Apple can’t produce, then EE must ensure that they only sell what product they can literally get their hands on. Apple as a manufacturer have a commitment to manufacture and provide, EE are responsible for what they sell. Ultimately EE are responsible to the end user, Us.

You need to read up on manufacturing and supply and demand

EE doesn't know how many they are going to get from Apple.

EE can order 1000 but only end up receiving 500.

That's only 50% of what they asked for.

It's all down to Apple and how they produce the phones and how they ship them out. EE are tied in this respect.

Again you need to be looking at Apple. You say EE shouldn't sell stuff they physically do not have but Apple are doing just that.

I can go on the Apple site right now and order an iPhone 12. It ain't in stock I won't receive it anytime soon.

This is business and it may not be to your liking but sorry that's how it goes.

So Ee shouldn’t be selling what they don’t have, using your argument, if they ordered 1000, only recieved 500, they should issue the 500, apologise to the other 500, STOP SELLING, issue the outstanding 500 upon receipt then when surplus become available resume sales. End of argument. Any other pearls of wisdom EE sap?
