I have a 4gee home router and are going on a long road trip with the kids so want to use it on the road. We have a power inverter to plug it into the car so it has power but the wifi doesn’t seem to come up on our devices
thanks

WiFi should come up even when you have no mobile signal. Can't you see the router's SSID in any of your devices?

Hi @Joeanne30
Are you receiving a mobile signal? You won't get WiFi (internet) if your home router isn't receiving a mobile signal?
Are your devices already connected? (Connected in the house?)
Where are you placing the router?
Thanks

Simply not true! WiFi is purely a local function, not dependant on anything external.

I'm refering to the internet. The OP isn't clear on if they are refering to wifi or WiFi internet.

@Northerner : Ah, that's diff. You can have WiFi w/out the Internet. Which is more or less what I said.

@Joeanne30 Silly question but the lights on the router are coming on when you power it up in the car ?
