My son uses my old iPhone 5 on a Sim only monthly contract. We have just bought an unlocked refurbished iPhone 8 for him for Christmas.
What do we need to do to start using the iPhone 8 with his Sim Only contract?
Is it just a case of inserting the Sim Card from the iPhone 5 in the iPhone 8 and away we go?
Or do we need to register the iPhone 8 device with EE in order to connect it to our EE account?

Hi @caravananders.
Welcome to the community.
Yes, it really is that simple, just put the current SIM card in the new phone, set it up, and away you go 🙂

Hello @caravananders ,
Welcome to the community,
You just need to put the SIM card in the other phone and it will work perfectly, as long as the phone is unlocked.
No need to ring customer service, as you can always move a SIM card from one phone to another, as the account is with the SIM card.
To contact EE customer service dial 150 from your mobile phone or ring customer service for free using web based app or another phone: +44 800 079 8586 or +44 800 956 6000.
