Absolute farce of a launch!
Nobody seems to be getting the same answers from CS.
Just got off the phone after chasing up my G6P 256 and was told "delivery will be within 7 days but it could be sooner"
Website is saying typically delivered in 14 days.
When asked why they hadn't contacted customers to at least let them know there would even be an delay they just passed the buck and said that was down to DPD to issue texts and not them.
Was about to leave EE before placing my preorder and only stayed due to the promise of getting the handset on release day and some flexibility with the tariff to bring it in line with another provider.
Not a great customer experience at all

I've just phoned EE
Got told delay was due to chip shortage, expect to wait up to 7 days and re-contact them again if don't receive anything.
Im rather annoyed that theyre pre-orders isn't first come first serve considering i was one of the first to order (i stayed up waaaaaaaaaaaaaay past my bed time 😂 to get one)

I spoke to the upgrades line, they said I could still get it today even though the tracking states it hasnt even been sent!!! Pointed out everyone's experience from this forum, they asked to check back after midday. Total fob off

I think the 256GB Black ones are getting delayed.
Has anyone with orders post 21st or 22nd received a dispatch notification?

I order my Sunny 128GB in store Saturday 23rd and as of this morning my Order Status says the phone has been depatched to store. Shame I couldn't get it sent to home or work but I got a good deal on the contract and didn't have to pay the upfront cost.
I may have the phone tonight, or may not be able to pick it up until tomorrow. I'm not too fussed either way if I'm honest but fingers crossed for those who need to scratch that itch...

Mine arrived at 8:15 and it's all up and running (pro cloudy White). Good luck to everyone that hasn't received theirs yet!

Just spoke to CS and as other people have said it could be a 14 day wait for the 256 GB P6P. Also the only way to get the cheaper contract price is to cancel your original order and re-order. This means paying another upgrade fee if applicable and waiting for your original one to be refunded. It's a bit disappointing when you're assured that it will be delivered on launch day.

Just off phone with CS too. So it is now saying 14 days, but could be sooner. They over estimated the amount of stock they were actually getting. Heavy lean on free headphones, think that's to stop folk cancelling.
Got them to rearrange the timescales for my current phone return. Told them I didn't want this delay to affect that.
Peeved and disappointed, but not enough to cancel my full contract with EE over it.

After reading these stories I am not even going to bother contacting CS so they can fob me off with some crap after it was stated that delivery would be for launch day. I find it incomprehensible that they would underestimate the demand for one of the most anticipated phone launches of the year.
Anyway, congrats to those that have got theirs. I will just wait patiently.

Have not called customer care; working at the moment. Thanks for all the guys who have updated on the status. You guys did what EE should have done. Guess I will have to wait upto 14 days for my order, after all.
Wanted to clarify something. You claim the Bose headphones through a Google link right? There is no specific EE link. And for this, you would need the phone because you need to fill in IMEI number, right?
