Galaxy Watch 4G compatibility

Hi all,

I am interested in the Galaxy watch 4g offer from EE but on the EE website, it says it is only compatible with Samsung phones.

Can any confirm this? I have a Sony Xperia 1. At the moment I have a Samsung Gear S2 watch and had no issues so far with compatibility between the two.

I just don't understand EE saying that I need a Samsung phone to have the watch work properly. Will certain features not work or will the watch not connect to my phone at all?

The watch is best compatible with Samsung phones because they have installed the Gear app. The watch does work with other android phones but some functions may not be available depending on your handset. Check Samsung site for more info.
