Got this on pre-order and so far happy with it even with some of the shortfalls.
I upgraded from the GWA2 44mm and as after previously having a WearOS watch I knew battery life was not that good on a non LTE model, so quite surprised to see that after 1day 13hours it still had 23% battery and reported had 11 hours usage left.
This is after constantly messing with the watch faces, using GPS fully on for 1 hour of activity tracking, having the heart rate and stress monitor constantly running, have 2 nights of sleep tracking performed.
I've not yet tested performance with using the voice calling as waiting for my Buds 2 to arrive, but for the anticipated 40 hour usage according to Samsung, so far the watch seems to be obtaining that.
The things that currently don't work is Blood Oxygen during sleep even though it is enabled, but works if manually perform the test. For some users it is working on non 4G versions, so hopefully a firmware update will fix for 4G models.
Google Assistant, Google Pay and YouTube Music, Google Fit are not available as standard, even though the first two are supposed to be on the device. You can manually install Google Pay and Google Fit, but default option for purchases is Samsung Pay. Also Bixby is still the default Assistant.
The device is not listed in WearOS and must use Samsung Wearable app, older WearOS faces still require Google Fit (not installed) to work so will need the Health Sync app to sync data to Google Fit or install Google Fit. To get full benefit of the watch you need Samsung Wearable, Samsung Health and a Samsung Phone.
Samsung Watch developers are starting to release WearOS faces on the Play Store so will start seeing more designs (and they frequently provide vouchers so you can pick up watch faces for free), so hopefully existing WearOS developers start updating their designs to work with it. I have found some old designs that don't really use complications and just display the date and weather work brilliantly on the watch, it's just the more complicated designs that have issues.
In regards to installation of watch faces, I found this to be cumbersome compared to older WearOS installations, some can be installed on the phone and will automatically be installed on the watch, while others must be installed directly on the watch. This means you can't always install from the Play Store on your phone as the watch faces will not show as they are classed as incompatible.
There is a new firmware due, so hopefully this will resolve some issues, but even as it stands I think the watch is great and worthy of the upgrade.
Overall very happy with the upgrade to this watch and would recommend it.
