Galaxy Watch 4 4G on New Sim-Only

Hi,

I've just re-joined and took out a sim-only contract the other day with the first bill generated but not due to be paid until end of month and got my GW4 4G today, so can I add now to my account or will I need to wait until first bill paid.

If I can add now, will the add-on just be doubled for next month, seeing the bill already generated

thanks

How have you got the Galaxy Watch 4? It's not released until the 27th August.

Im surprised you got the 1Gb data for having a additional line on your account was it being a watch though. I didn’t know EE did that for watch contacts added to your account.

EE does as the 1GB data has just been removed from my plan as I cancelled my Galaxy Watch 3 account as I am planning on buying the Watch 4 (Bluetooth only)

Purchased direct from Samsung (happy as the Classic 46mm 4G only cost me £207 and I've got £75 Google Play voucher to claim as well next week, so overall costing me £130) , a lot of UK buyers who ordered from them have received their watches today.

Yes, my order and everyone else's stated shipping 27th August, but Samsung released them earlier.

Hopefully the screenshots below will prove it, but also checkout  https://www.reddit.com/r/GalaxyWatch/ where you can see loads of users have received it already

I received mine today as well, I'm not a happy punter so far tbh. Trading in my Watch3 45mm for the Watch4 Classic 46mm and I'm a bit frustrated. They've reduced the lug size to 20mm so none of your straps fit from your previous watch, that's not cool. Even though its actually a bigger device. I've now got a drawer full of 22mm straps that are useless. Charge time is still poor, 1hr 45m to charge from 35% on the Samsung wireless duo pad. I got the silver Watch4 as a change from the black Watch3 and it looks really cheap in comparison, the Watch3 imo looks far better. And for a device that's supposed to be bigger, albeit only 1mm, it actually feels smaller to wear because the strap is thinner. Hoping the OS can win me over in time as first impressions as a migration from the Watch3 isn't great for me.

Hi @TFI_YT

Sorry to hear of your first impressions. Hopefully the more you use it, the more you like it.

If you purchased from us over the phone or website, you have 14 days to return the device if you'd prefer to go back to your Watch 3.

It's OK I bought direct from Samsung, I came here as my phone contract is with EE and was looking up how the data plan works on the watch4.  Getting mixed feedback on that but it looks like its £7 per month for a separate plan for the watch.

I have some confusion about this and hope someone can help. I have a sim only contract with EE which is 15gb of data and unlimited minutes of talk.

I bought a galaxy watch 4 LTE which is arriving today and understand that there is a £7 a month plan which allows my watch to connect to me phone.

1) Can this package be added to any EE contract or is it restricted to certain ones? Is mine eligible.

2) I don't have a samsung phone, it is a Xiaomi. I was assured by Samsung that all functionality is the same on non samsung phones except for possibly a couple of bio-monitor functions, but now I am worried that this £7 add on is Samsung phones only.

Can anyone help me please? thanks.

Also p.s. does the 10gb basically just act as a mobile enabled connection to your existing phone plan - does it use the same number (I heard that your watch had a different number from some sources, others that it can share the number but only on some providers)

Thanks a lot.
