Friends and Family Discount Code

Hi EE,

 

I have been provided a F+F discount code by a friend who works for a company within the EE family.

I have managed to find where to enter the code, (at the bottom of the "Extras" webpage.)

 

My problem is that the website returns an error stating that:

"Sorry, that voucher’s not valid"

 

I've tried numerous times, and even called through and was told that it did not work.

What am I doing wrong? Please can you help?

Hi @Christopher_G ,

 

I've managed to put the order through with discount on Edge.

 

To answer the above, I am joining EE so there was no plan to clash with.

What kind of code do you have?

 

A Friends And Family code would be applied by the employee internally.

Okay, I'll speak to my friend and ask them to apply the code at their end.

The email that the code was sent from states:

 

"This is a one-time code to use online and it’s valid for 90 days. To choose your plan and use your code visit: shop.ee.co.uk"

 

Are you sure that my friend needs to apply the code at their end?

What company does your friend or family member work for?

 

That doesn't sound like an EE offer.

Sorry, @TheMoomins. That is the correct process for BT Family and Friends discount.

 

You should be able to add the discount to a 24 months phone contract or 12, 18 or 24 months SIM only contract.

 

Are you connected to a VPN when trying to add it? If so, please disconnect and try again.

Hi @Christopher_G ,

 

No VPN to speak of from my side... @chistery  Mentioned that browsers may cause an issue. I'm using Chrome, is there a preferred browser that is more compatible?

Not necessarily, @TheMoomins.

 

You could try on a phone browser. Internet explorer, Edge, Firefox, just whatever you have available.

 

Do you have any other discounts already on your plan? It could be clashing with those.
