Free boosts being capped

Hi. I received a text message this morning saying that EE had updated their packs.

When I looked into the free boosts section, it has mentioned they will only allow up to a maximum 6 boosts on the new packs. Is this right?

So EE are finally starting to cap free boosts?

Yes, it's all very confusing this rehashing of packs:

  1. Originally, in my span of using them, there were the 4 DP, 4 TTP & 7 EP packs.
  2. Then on 18/03/20 they were switched to the 6 PACK & 2 TALK packs.
  3. Now on 18/07/21 they were switched to the new 5 PACK packs.
  • The legacy Boosts conditions with unlimited Boosts every 3 months applies to 1. & 2.
  • The new Boosts conditions with up to 6 Boosts every 2 months applies to 3.

Ok. So what about people on the old packs? Will their boosts continue uncapped?

Keep reading the same article until you get to:

Legacy and 2020 customers

If you move from an older pack to our newer pack range, you will not lose any boosts you have already earned on your allowance. Once you have moved to our newer packs, you will be subject to the new Free Boost rules as laid out above and will be able to earn an additional six boosts on top of your allowance.

Yes I read that. What about if you don't move though? It doesn't mention any caps for legacy customers?

If you don't switch to the new packs you carry on as you were.

Thanks for clarifying that. I changed pack in June this year by texting pack10  but there was no mention of any caps at the time.

My pack is 4GB data, 100 mins and unlimited texts. The new one is 5GB, 500 mins and unlimited texts.

Although my pack is a 2021 pack, will this still continue as normal even though the article mentions legacy and 2020 customers?
