Failed: Change the default password for additional security

As per Page 16 of the 4GEE Router User Manual
 
 
Log in to change your 4GEE WiFi device SSID and password, or change other basic settings.
Default username: admin
Default password: admin
Note: You will be forced to change the default password for
additional security
 
Once I change the default password, I am unable to log in again.
 
Box titled- Log in password
 
Enter administrator password - [I enter new password}
 
Response: "The log in times used out, please reboot and try again."
 
Why isn't my password updated in the system????

Aha! My password creator was set to 20 characters. The max is 16 characters.

 

I redid my password and it worked 🙂

"Password should be 8-16 characters and include numbers, letters, and special characters. E.g. Ab12C3!d."

My previous password was 16 digits in length

EE's example password works fine. I am able to log in a second time after using this password

If I use their password - Ab12C3!d - it works.

 

If I use my password - ##### - it does not work.

Try just using an alphanumeric pwd & then add special chars to it & see which works.
