EE Smart Hub (White) & BT Premium Whole Home Discs

This may have been asked before, apologies if it has but I couldn't find the answer!

I had our broadband installed yesterday and also have 3 of the BT Premium Discs. Is it possible to use these with the smart hub without having to have 1 of them permanently attached via ethernet cable? I tried using the app yesterday to add one but it wouldn't get passed the location search in the set up process.

Any help appreciated.

Cheers

Hi @AndyGrice.

Welcome to the community. 🙂

Have you followed the instructions on this 'setting up your Smart WiFi' help page?

Chris

Hi Chris, I did try this yesterday evening. I'll have a go again tonight and see what I can do.

So do you think/know if the discs are compatible with the new hub?

Yes, I'm sure I've seen others in the community say they set them up OK, @AndyGrice.

Let me know how you get on.

You need to set up the 1st disc connected to the router by Ethernet. Once set up you can unplug it from the router & place it where you want with a good WiFi signal. Then you can set up the other discs.

I've tried again setting up but can't get it to stay connected once the ethernet cable is disconnected! I've gone back to having one wired in to the EE hub.
