EE Anytime Upgrade

Hi, has anyone managed to upgrade from an Samsung S21+ to a Z Flip 3?

 

I tried and was told I couldn't as my S21+ is too new, but the option to upgrade to that phone is still available?

 

Seems stupid to have an anytime upgrade contract and not be able to upgrade anytime!

I hope you're having a nice weekend, other than this issue of course. 

 

When you try to upgrade do you get any kind of error, or can you just not choose the phone you want?

I go through the whole process, but then I got a phone call from Customer Services saying I couldn't have it?

Did the customer service agent say why you couldn't do what you wanted to?

Yes, they said that I couldn't upgrade from an S21+ as it was too new.

Seems strange

@Scott19771 If you’re on an eligible Upgrade Anytime plan, you can upgrade from day 15 of your new plan and up to 45 days before it ends.

 

There may be an upgrade fee to pay depending on where you are in your contract but you can upgrade every two weeks if you want - you just need to swap your old phone and sign up to a new 24-month plan.

 

Did the agent say you couldn't upgrade without a fee, or just that you couldn't do it at all?
