Hello
i have just got a new XR and was told that I would use the same SIM card as my old iPhone 7. I set it all up and everything has transferred fine and all working great but just realised I haven’t put the sim in my new phone! Do I need to do this? Also, I have now deleted everything from my old phone.
thank you in advance.

Hello @Newphonenoclue and welcome to the community
It is the SIM which carries your subsription and account details.
If you put your existing SIM in your new phone, this will serve to move your number across.

Welcome to the community.
If your old SIM card fits in your new phone you can continue to use this 🙂
If you decide to register the new SIM card at anytime you can do this at myaccount.ee.co.uk/app/activate-sim if you upgraded with EE direct.
Thanks.
Leanne.
