Data sharing with a dongle SIM

HI folks, I am a new EE customer and all is good.  I have a query.

I have a 2 year contract on my phone and don't use all my data.  Am I able to do the data share with a dongle SIM?  I have a 4G security camera on order for my farm and it needs data to run the video capture and alert function. I am yet to get the PAYG sim card as I don't know if I am able to data share or if I would be better getting a PAYG phone sim and using the hotspot on an old phone to operate the camera and share my data that way.  Thanks in advance for any help x

@colouredcob   You can not gift data to/from a PAYG SIM card.  It’s contract only and includes sim only contracts. 

To contact EE Customer Services dial 150 From your EE mobile or 0800 956 6000 from any other phone.

Thanks Chris B, now trying to order a free data sim that I can top up and it keeps saying I can't make changes till my contract expires ho hum will keep trying lol.😆

You may order a PAYG data SIM independent of your contract. How are you trying to order it?
