I requested an unlock code on 19/11. I was told that it could take up to 10 days to complete and have heard nothing. I have phoned and messaged EE twice but I'm being sent around in circles. My contract ends soon and I will not be staying with EE.

I'm having the same problem. I put in a request on 19/11. I was unable to use the online form as it kept sending me back to the start. I have phoned and messaged to no avail. I was told 72 hours to 10 days wait then today I was told that doesn't include weekends! I will also be leaving in Feb when my contract ends.

@maddii : Where did you yourself get this device itself originally? Did you buy it yourself new direct from EE or from a 3rd-party reseller or is it 2nd-hand? The unlocking process & costs are different.

Spoke to them on Monday by phone and chat. They said it could take upto 10 days which have passed now.

Been on chat AGAIN and filled in the form online AGAIN but this time it says
'Sorry - we can't unlock this phone as we don't recognise it as being locked to EE, Orange or T-Mobile.'
What on earth is going on?

I had the same issue! but i have not got Service at all now since i switched providers and i am not able to use my new sim since the device is still locked.
